How to get to Catalina Cottage from Sydney:

By Car...110km, 90 minutes to 2 hours. Head West on Parramatta Rd; at Concorde turn right on to the m4. Proceed West; (the m4 becomes 32, the Great Western Hway) continue to the Katoomba turnoff; turn left over the railway bridge. Turn right at the roundabout, then left onto Cascade St then 1st right onto Murri St; 1st left onto Kundibar St. Go to number 2. Welcome to Catalina Cottage!

By underground... Take underground to Central Railway Station (Country platforms), then Blue Mountains Line(in the direction of Lithgow) to Katoomba.

By Train... Take Blue Mountains line from Sydney Central Railway Station (Country platforms),(adult fare approx $11). Trains leave every 15 minutes or so during peak hour, once an hour during the day. After 4 p.m. the train tends to fill with commuters. Get off at Katoomba on South side of station. Go up to Bathurst Street level then turn right; go straight past roundabout. Turn left into Cascade Street, right into Murri St, left into Kundibar St. Catalina Cottage is number 2.

Travel to Katoomba in The Blue Mountains by train (Timetables etc.)

By Plane... From Sydney International or Domestic Airport: Take the train from either terminal to Sydney Central Railway Station (adult fare approx $10). Change to the Blue Mountains line, and ride the train to Katoomba station (adult fare approx $11). Note: you can buy a through ticket from the airport to Katoomba for appox. $21, however be careful at Central station not to put this through the turnstile as it will be captured. If you want to leave the platform to use the toilets or get something to eat, just show your ticket to the attendant.
